Begin. Middle. End.
Life is like a story, a novel, a book, an article, a magazine, a blog, a poem and the list goes on. It is constructed and made by routine/s. They can be seen as daily, weekly, monthly goals and things to do each day in order to make yourself feel fulfilled. A routine for someone can be very different to someone else's routine. Some may find having lots of different routines, doing lots of different things each day makes them happy. Some people may have one set routine that keeps them happy. However, some like to say they don't like routines or they don't live in a routine. Yet, we all sleep, eat, and wake-up, don't we?
I think everyone likes to live in their separate routines, and why wouldn't we...
I personally LOVE making routines, especially adding things to my routines as little goals for the day. For example, reading an hour a day or eat a piece of fruit a day. However, I do find the only thing I NEED to keep in a routine, and something that needs to be regular is going to the GYM. For me, the thought of going to the gym changes. Some days I love the idea of going to the gym, and other days it becomes a real effort to get myself off of the sofa/ away from my busy schedule. Therefore, I need to make sure I keep this part of my routine a regular and consistent thing - so I can keep myself fit. I know for some people it is easy for them to just get up and go, sometimes I wish I was a bit more like that. But, now that I am nearly 21 I am finding ways to accept these challenges and dealing with them in my own way. Like booking gym classes (even though I do find it is very easy to cancel them - which I need to stop doing!!)
Adapting and changing your routine is a crucial part to making you feel fulfilled. Adding to those regular things that happen in a day, like eating, sleeping and waking up make your days feel full. I find that spontaneous is always something that exceeds your expectations. For instance, your friend calls you to ask if you want to go to the pub for a drink, why not!
I've noticed in my 20 years of life that you can stuck in your own set ways and things become too 'samey'. And that's my point - don't fall in that trap! Routine sounds very structured and fitted, yet it's not. Yes, you can go to work, eat, drink and sleep but it's the things in between them that make your life exciting. Things can be fixed as part of your routine, like going to the gym - that can become your eat, drink and sleep stuff. But, never think it's too much to do something else, or because you have completed everything in your routine, wake-up, eat, drink, go to work, go to the gym, sleep... that doesn't mean you can't do anything else.
Grab a book, make that part of your routine, read an hour a day. Start a blog, write a piece/ or edit a piece a day. Or have these things to do once a week. Think about your goals in life and how you can achieve them by adding them to your routine in order to make something out of your abilities. By adding, adapting and making the most out of your days, you will feel like you are working towards success and accomplishment.
Wishing you luck.
